Five Arrested for Cannabis Possession and Motor Vehicle Larceny
Five people were arrested and a quantity of cannabis seized during Operation Festive Shield exercises carried out in the Southern and Northern Divisions on Saturday, December 13.

Five persons were arrested and a quantity of cannabis seized during Operation Festive Shield exercises carried out in the Southern and Northern Divisions on Saturday, December 13.
In the Southern Division, Task Force officers conducted an exercise between 4.00 pm and 8.00 pm in the Princes Town district, where they discovered two packets containing approximately one kilogramme of cannabis. A 41-year-old man was arrested in connection with the seizure.
During the same exercise, a 28-year-old man of Indian Walk was also arrested for the possession of a quantity of cannabis.
The operation in the Southern Division was coordinated by Senior Superintendent Simon, Superintendent Bertie, Acting Superintendent Bridglal, Assistant Superintendents Ramsaran, Ramlogan and Chulan, along with Inspector Wilkinson.
Meanwhile, in the Northern Division, officers investigating reports of Larceny Motor Vehicle arrested three male suspects, ages 18 to 29, from Belmont and San Juan.
The Northern Division exercises were spearheaded by Assistant Commissioner of Police Singh, Acting Senior Superintendent Maynard-Wilson, Superintendent McKenzie, Assistant Superintendent Morales, and Acting Inspector Cedeno-Figaro.
Investigations are continuing.
